Jesus ways

Matthew 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Psalm 119:105  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Popularly received as a Christmas verse the validity of Jesus was prophesied by faith in Isaiah 9:6.  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Some 734 years later Isaiah's prophecy materializes perfectly in Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

While Isaiah believed and wrote in faith 'a child is born' the angel in Luke 2 heralding Jesus birth repeated that the child had been born with the words 'is born this day'.

Very important to note is the fact that just as suredly after over 7 centuries Isaiah's prophecy did occur so will our Lord's prophecy from nearly 2 centuries ago in John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

How important it is to realize that the word 'may' contained in the above verse draws attention that there is a choice to be made on everyone's part.  To believe the simple truth and have your name in the Lamb's book of life according to God's plan is spoken of in Romans.

Romans Chapter 10: 8 - 10

8 But what saith it?  The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Verse 8   Question is asked. How do I be saved? The answer immediately follows.  Simply put is 'your words'.  Inside your heart is faith in God's Word to be the truth.

Verse 9   Out of the heart confession (your words) is based on that faith in Jesus Christ death on the cross and God raising Him from the dead.  Whosoever believes, confesses this it is then that their name is in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Verse 10  Summarizes the preceding verses.  Believe in your heart the righteousness of Jesus death for you on the cross for your sins, confess that God raised Him from the dead.  He is inside you forever*.

Example Prayer:  Dear Jesus I know that I am a sinner.  I do believe You died for me and that God raised You from the dead.  I ask you now Jesus into my heart, help me to live every day including and seeking You in all I say and do. In your name Jesus I pray.  Amen.

One cannot repent soon enough, whereas one cannot know how soon will be too late.

*Inside you forever is contingent (2nd Peter 2:19-22) upon the choice to do as the Word instructs.  By becoming yielded vessels that belong to Him He is inside us forever.  However by choosing unwisely and yielding to become vessels apart from the Word we force his residency from the throne of our heart.  Until our dying moment He will be knocking to come back (Rev 3:20) to resume that place in our heart.

Friend if you did pray and ask Jesus into your heart the Bible says angels in Heaven are rejoicing right now over that decision you made.
