Jesus ways

Matthew 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Psalm 119:105  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Thy word IS,,,remember the word 'IS' is a present, now tense.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Jesus says,  Hell IS

John 1:14 tells us that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us full of grace and truth.  In the midst of that verse also John interjects the fact that 'we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father'.

Thusly saying it is accurate to say, Jesus and the Bible are synonomous and is saying to us all !

One of the most popular memorized verses of the Bible is John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

People of all kindred and tongues readily recognize themselves as a qualifying whosoever as they rightly should.  This context deems to the world that almighty God has freely given anyone who believes in Jesus to have their eternal destiny with Him (see pg 'Heaven: IS a really big place).

All the while in this life we endeavor to create our own 'heaven on earth' with large houses, properties and creature comforts of all sorts.  We tend to associate bad places with an air of trivial.  To some a room without air conditioning in summertime is a bad place.  A hospital waiting room and having to sit for news of a test is certainly an uncomfortable place not relished, bad even.

Now just for a moment let us consider a few statistics.  People from all walks of life are part of an alarming number of souls finding themselves in eternity.   They awoke in their bed as normal this morning planning to retire there again this evening.  They were planning normal every day things we all do and whether they or someone else inadvertantly allowed a few feet of drift across a center line of traffic they find themselves suddenly now in eternity, a place without time and without end.  Some may have felt a sharp sudden pain in their chest to now be in a different scene of action.  Various causes of death are too numerous to elaborate on but suffice to say people enter eternity at a very fast pace.  Eternity, where time is no more.

Whatever the reason and statistically speaking there are many souls there right now than when this page was opened for viewing only seconds ago.  There are many varied opinions of hell apart from the truth found in God's Word.   Many simply believe someone else's rationale rather than reading God's Word and receiving the simple truth for themself.  I recall seeing a documentary where some people even associate hell with partying.  I believe upon finding oneself in eternity within the confines of this place called hell the reality will leave people screaming for another chance to undo their choice.   To try and awake from a nightmare that is not a bad dream but now is their existance forever where time no longer exists.  Their reality now is separated from the temporary existence of this world that was there for them only seconds ago.  Jesus proclaims to those who will believe Him the   certainty   of a place prepared for Satan and his fallen angels .  Jesus prayed to sway all from populating that terrible place to the extreme efforts of His even enduring the cross for all people nations kindreds and tongues.

It is important to add some emphasis and definition to the simple word, IS.  This word, IS, is as I have numerous times throughout some of these pages pointed out it is with reference to the here and the now.  A present tense word.

James 4:14 reminds us 'For what is your life?  It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away.

The Word from our Lord Jesus right now is to instruct us as 2 Timothy 3:16 reminds us.  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Jesus also in love and solemn warning from Mark 9: 44, 46 and 48 agrees with the prophet Isaiah for those who choose unrepented sin/transgressions for their way of life.  (see Isaiah's prophecy below).

Mark 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire  is   not quenched.

Mark 9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire  is   not quenched.

Mark 9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire  is   not quenched

Jesus reveals plainly the existance of a real place called Hell.  Worse than anyones imagination can fathom.  Jesus after warning and proclaiming that the fire there will never be quenched also reveal that the occupants there are not alone.  Jesus makes it crystal clear not once but     three times     the fact of hell's occupants and   'their worm'.     Individual worms on assignment for eternity attached to souls apart from God's plan for them.   Isaiah 66:24 does not mince his Holy Spirit derived thoughts conveyed into the Word for us all.  Simple and precise, please, just do not go there !  Factually speaking this place known as Hell though is not the absolute end for evil.  Hell, the devil and fallen angels plus sadly all those souls they have lied to and coerced into not accepting Jesus will ultimately be dealt the finality of being cast into the 'lake of fire' Revelation 20:14-15 known as the second death. Finality at it's worst prepared not for man at all but only the Devil and his angels.

Matthew 25:41 Then  shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels

Isaiah's prophecy    The prophet Isaiah some 750 years before Jesus was born  begins in Isaiah 1:18 exhorting hearers to come 'let us reason together'.  Then the prophets parting writ in his very last chapter and very last verse he writes explicitly prophesying the very same wording Jesus said recorded by Mark 9: 44, 46, 48 above.

Isaiah 66:24  And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might   have life, and that they   might   have it more abundantly.

(The word 'might' used twice here in John 10:10 is completely a derivitive of choice).

Notice the sequential agenda of the thief in John 10:10

First the thief comes to     steal.     I believe man's greatest gift in this life is the Word of God.  If the thief is able to keep us preoccupied, uninterested in God's Word he is successfully stealing from us.

Second the thief comes to     kill.     I believe man's life howbeit taken for granted it can be is a gift.  Every day contains 'time' and life is a precious gift that God almighty provides us to discover and fellowship with Him.  It is He that protects us from being prey to the desire of the thief whose efforts are kept at bay by God until He decides when our days here are over.

Third the thief comes to      destroy.     Matthew 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

If the thief is able to successfully dupe people and steal the three aforementioned there is yet more stolen.  The opportunity to choose one's soul's destination for eternity is gone forever.

It is the latter part of John 10:10 which Christians hope that all will adhere.  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

That   all   will choose to have life, even the abundant life Jesus Christ  freely offers to whosoever will for all of eternity with Him.
